The relaxing vibe, the late nights hanging out in the backyard and of course eating el fresco every chance we get. One of my favorite things about summer is the opportunity to host a backyard BBQ with friends. My hosting style tends to be casual with a minimalist vibe. I like to create an inviting atmosphere with fresh flowers, plenty of warm lights and serve meals family style. Today I’m sharing a blue gingham summer tablescape and homemade Coca-Cola™ BBQ sauce recipe.
We recently had a small get together with friends. It was the perfect opportunity to create personalized table settings and Share an Ice Cold Coke with friends. I placed the personalized Coca-Cola bottles inside small metal pails along with silverware. The name bottles are so fun! Share a Coke is back with 1,000 names featuring first AND last name bottles. I have several upcoming party ideas to use these with. Plus, right now you can save 20% off Share a Coke 20oz bottles using the Cartwheel app. Grab the coupon HERE.
I picked up some baby’s breath from the store and added hydrangeas from our garden to create a simple centerpiece. My hydrangeas are thriving this year and I thought they would complement the blue gingham tablecloth.
I picked up a few galvanized tea light holders from the Target dollar spot to place around the table. These are going to be great for our 4th of July party! I used battery operated lights to create a warm atmosphere around the table. It’s always great to have extra beverages on hand. I placed a galvanized bucket inside of a wooden pail to fill with ice and extra soda bottles. My theme was a little rustic/farmhouse with the white vase, reclaimed wood and galvanized metal.
Mason jars will always be a party staple for me! Guest could add a cherry or lime to their Coca-Cola or simply enjoy as is.
