I’m no creature of habit, but there are certain daily rituals that must be done for my day to start just right and to keep it move along—things like coffee and sweets. Today, I’m sharing one of my of favorite single serve coffee and espresso makers along with one of my favorite cookies, Mexican Wedding Cakes.
Admittedly, I am a coffee snob, so I’ve been that person asking a barista to remake my coffee because it’s wrong. But now days, I work from home and the barista is me.
I’m a master at making the perfect cup of espresso. But then, again, it’s not hard to do with a Nespresso machine.
I’ve tried a lot of at-home single-serve coffee and espresso machines on the market, ones priced from $89 to $599. Yep, I’ve gone through a few to get that at-home cup to be just right, but none have delivered like the Nespresso.
So when Nespresso asked if I’d like to join them and Experience a cup above and try their new Vertuoline Evoluo Machine, I of course said yes. The new machine brews both a large-cup coffee and authentic espresso with a simple touch of a button. Throw in the Aeroccino, Nespresso’s milk frother, and you have yourself all the tools needed to make cold or warm lattes.
This falls right in line with Nespresso’s philosophy of bringing the extraordinary to the every day. I love that I can make coffee shop quality drinks in my kitchen. It’s small things like this that help me move along throughout the day uninterrupted. This is something I don’t take for granted, being that I can’t always stop once I start shooting, because even just ten minutes can mean my light will shift beyond what I intended for a shot.
Thankfully, all my coffee needs are an arm’s reach away and since the aluminum capsules are recycle-friendly, I can feel even better about lightening my carbon footprint. Along with that, Nespresso has engaged George Clooney, who is not only the brand’s new U.S. ambassador, but he also serves as a member of the Nespresso’s Sustainability Advisory Board where he collaborates on ideas and solutions towards improving the lives and futures of coffee farmers.
Now that you are in the know, this season when you are shopping for your new single serve coffee/espresso maker, here’s one that’s a little more environmentally friendly and the best of the best.
